The Empty Quarter
Saudi Arabia’s The Empty Quarter (Rub Al Khali) is the most barren desert in the world. Watch how an army of close to a 100 Volvo Construction Equipment helped build one of the longest road in the Middle East, through one of the harshest, extreme climate in the world, overcoming extreme logistical challenges and achieving demanding service requirements to reach Saudi Arabia’s ambitious infrastructure development program The part that FAMCO worked on is 256 km which was awarded to Al-Rosan Company. This represents only a part of the entire highway on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia side of the desert.
FAMCO ’Customer Days’ in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
FAMCO recently organised three major events in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to showcase the growing brand portfolio distributed by the company for construction equipment, power products and warehousing solutions. The events, held in Jeddah on 27th January, in Dammam on 2nd February and in Riyadh on 9th February, attracted over 1,000 visitors including trade professionals, contractors and dealers involved in construction, warehousing and equipment rental, who provided positive feedback affirming the company’s strong reputation for customer service.

This test was made to challenge that and everything in this video is carried out for real, without any help from other machines or equipment. Safety rigs were used though, but only to secure the safety of our operators and the rest of the team. The result? Watch for yourself.
