Al Safwa Cement Company (ASCC) was established in 2007 in Jeddah in the western region of Saudi Arabia as part of El Khayyat Group – the pioneers in the field of building materials in the Kingdom.
In 2012, the company had been further strengthened by the entry of two public funds, the Public Pension Authority (PPA) and the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI).
The plant is about 140 km in the north of Jeddah, strategically located to maintain geographical proximity to the key cities. The commercial production in the plant commenced in the year 2011 with 2.2 million tons’ capacity and plans are undergoing to double the capacity to 4.4 million tons in 2017.
